6-Pinned KIK Style Brass Practice Lock with Schlage SC-4 of Kwikset KW Keyway, Best For Beginners

Our deluxe brass practice locks are available in either Schlage or Kwikset keyway and you can choose a variety of top pin styles.  These are key-in-knob style (KIK) locks, which is something of a misnomer since they are also used in about 90% of the deadbolt locks on the market.  They fit any of our Practice Lock Stands.  Your 6-pinned Practice Lock arrives fully pinned and we give you the choice between easy, moderate or extremely difficult pinning combinations.  In addition, these locks are fully re-keyable if you are familiar with standard rekeying procedures and you have the tools.  BONUS feature is that, even without special tools, the top cap on our deluxe locks can easily be popped off with a regular screwdriver, which allows you to dump all the pins and springs and rearrange them (rekey the lock).  The cap snaps back on without damage and this can be done an unlimited number of times.  That means you can set the lock up in any way you choose; even as a 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- 5-pinned lock if you use the same number of top pins and springs.  This is similar to our more expensive line of EZ ReKey Practice Locks.
