These special practice locks feature a cut-away pin bible, revealing what goes on INSIDE the area that houses the springs and top pins.  See clearly how lock cylinders work -- see what happens when properly cut keys are inserted AND what happens when a key is used with the wrong combination.
 


Now you can witness the process from the inside out!  A valuable visual aid which will shorten the learning curve -- guaranteed!

Supplied with two keys -- one cut properly, one uncut blank. 

Available pinned with 2, 3 and 5 tumblers.

Five-pinned models are also available 
for either right or left-handed users.

 
     


 
 

Recommended only for those with little or no lock picking experience. This is an excellent starting point in the development of lock picking technique. You will master this cylinder within hours -- so be sure to supplement your order with at least one other practice cylinder with a larger number of tumblers.

Three pin tumblers are loaded in this cut-away cylinder, making it a perfect mid-level practice tool. We recommend you purchase a 5-pinned cylinder soon after purchasing this model (or within the same order if possible). Standard practice cylinders (without cut-away top sections) are good choices to supplement the use of this 3-pinned cut-away model.

Exceptionally effective practice tool for those interested in perfecting their lock picking skills or maintaining a high level of skill. We pin these cylinders with randomly chosen combinations so no two will be alike (in the event you choose to order more than one). All combinations are selected to present a moderately difficult challenge.  Available with either Kwikset/Weiser or Schlage SC1 keyway.

PcyX5 and PcyX6 models are available for right-handed technicians or for left-handers. The difference is that the RIGHT side of the pin bible is cut-away for locksmiths who are LEFT HANDED. Opposite is true for right-handers. This makes a more comfortable posture possible while working on the lock.
