Refunds and Returns Policy

 

You may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). If you paid with a credit card, your refund will be issued the same day we receive the returned product, and likewise for items purchased via PayPal. Please contact us prior to sending anything back to us, as this will avoid possible miscommunications and unnecessary delays.

 

If you wish to return an item as a result of your error (an item was not exactly what you had expected, you ordered in error, you simply changed your mind, etc.), we will consider offering you a partial refund on a case-to-case basis, and it will depend a lot on the condition of the item.  You must request this via email, and you will have to ship the item or items you wish to return at your expense so that we can evaluate it(them).  In such cases we will issue a refund for the cost of the item(s) only. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

If you are requesting to return an item that you are unhappy with after having used it, please understand that the item can no longer be sold as 'new' and therefore we are unable to refund the full purchase price.  We must make a hands-on assessment of the item's condition before we can assign a refundable value.  Generally, if the item shows no wear or damage and can be sold as "near new", we will return from 80-90% of the original purchase price (which does not include shipping charges, which are not refundable under this scenario).

 

Please understand that we do not sell equipment on a "try before you buy" basis.  Every item listed in our online offering is a proven, time tested product that has been shown to be effective for the purpose intended.  Every one of our tools have the earned respect of countless professional locksmiths.  When you purchase an item that requires skill to get the best out of it (lock picks, pick guns, etc.), you must be willing to put in sufficient time to develop the skill required.  Your failure to do this, and/or your failure to eventually develop the degree of skill required for any given tool, is not sufficient reason to return the item.

 

IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS:  We do NOT accept returns or give refunds on books, downloadable resources, CD's or DVD's for obvious reasons.  


If you wish to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll contact you and arrange for the return of the item.  Please understand that we have to evaluate the item's condition before we can generate a refund, partial refund, or store credit.
