Mortise Cylinder Removal Wrench

An alternative to drilling when you run into that odd mortise cylinder that refuses to pick, or has a damaged keyway. This tool uses a wedging motion to clamp onto the protruding face of the cylinder, allowing you to break the set screw holding the cylinder in place. The cylinder can then be unscrewed without damaging threads (simply replace the broken set screw). Will not work if spin rings are present.
