BROKEN KEY EXTRACTORS

As important to the Locksmith as lock picks and car opening tools is the group we call broken key extractors. These tools are used to remove broken key tips from deep within lock keyways, automotive and otherwise. Small and narrow keyways present special problems, as to very tight keyways and we provide a good variety of tools to make these jobs easier. We are proud to offer only the finest extractors on the market, like the ones made by Peterson and HPC. We offer low cost alternatives as well in the form of reliable A1 extractors. Broken key extractors do their magic in a number of different ways depending upon the style of the tool. Peterson makes a wide variety of extractors, such as sidewinder type, ice tong extractors, and saw extractors. Sometimes two or three different styles are used on one job -- one tool to get back into the keyway and loosen the key fragment, another to urge it toward the keyway opening, and still another to finally get hold of it and pull it free.

SS-EXT Sidewinder Extractors	Named for the sideways movement of the bent finger, this tool is inserted along side the key blade of the broken key.
