TRIPIK 4 - A FULLY ARTICULATING PRACTICE LOCK HOLDER
We have had a good many requests for a version of our incredibly successful TriPik practice lock stand that would be similar to our TriPik-3 but with a shorter ball/socket joint. This gives the structure a smaller footprint and cuts down somewhat on "wiggle". We listen to customer feedback and in this case we felt there was value in the modification.
The result is the newest TriPik in our growing lineup: TriPik 4.
The TriPik holder is the deluxe variety (with thumb turns in each port) and it is mounted on a heavy duty table clamp with a shorter ball/socket joint between holder and clamp than found on TriPik-3. This ball/socket joint is fully articulating -- meaning you have the ability to position the TriPik "head" in any position your little heart desires: Right-side up, Upside down, sideways, tilted fortward, tilted backward -- virtually no limit, and, of course, you have the ability to lock the head in that position simply by tightening the over-sized knob on the side of the clamp.
In the real world, lock cylinders are found in weird and surprising positions so it just makes sense to practice lock picking with the practice lock (or "locks" as the TriPik stand accepts up to three KIK cylinders at once) in different positions.
As with all our TriPik stands, the TriPik 4 is made expressly for key-in-knob (KIK) sytle lock cylinders. Also, please note that this is a lock picking practice stand. It is not intended to be used for practice of lock bumping or key impressioning, as these activities involve forceful motion better suited for our rugged LocksportXPC Stand.
