PICK GUNS, FROM BEGINNINGS TO MODERN DAY
One of the hardest tools to master, strangely enough, is the very tool that was supposed to make lock picking easier. The pick gun, in fact, does make it easier if you know how to use them. It can frustrate your efforts to pick locks if you don't use them in the proper manner. They look so easy to use -- after all, how hard can it be to pull a trigger? But done wrong, nothing happens except wasting time.
This small manual covers how pick guns were first devised and how far they've come. It does a good job explaining the principles and teaching good technique. There's also interesting tidbits included, such as how to improvise and make a workable pick gun out of a clothes hanger. We can't give our vote to that particular effort because pick guns are not that expensive unless you opt for an electric (not a good choice unless you already have some skill with a manual).
