This is truly a dream come true for lock picking hobbyists, locksmith students and lock pick competition enthusiasts.  It's a tough, rigid and thoroughly stable support system which is designed to clamp tightly to most any table top, shelf or work table.  All aluminum "C frame" jaw has an opening capacity up to 1.5".  The "lockjaw" itself is fully capable of firmly clamping on to almost any kind of lock or lock cylinder, and the ball and socket joint gives you unparalleled adjustment range.  Use any of these common locks and cylinders, just as an example:

Absolutely portable, use it anywhere there is a table top, shelf or work counter with an edge that isn't more than 1-1/2" wide (most are much less!).  Holds locks firmly thanks to the beefy construction and the nice over-sized T-knob.  There is a very strong spring that opens the jaw for you and provides positive pressure against the locking knob -- makes inserting and removing lock cylinders SO much easier!  Please note that while it is capable of holding many knobsets and deadbolts (without removing the lock cylinder itself), there are some too large for this stand.  For the most part, it's best to work with either KIK (key-in-knob) or mortise cylinders.  Also, CPL-5 "see-through" plastic locks and small cam locks WILL fit nicely.
