Help with shopping cart error
For our shopping cart to work properly you must have your browser configured to accept cookies from sites. Cookies are simply very small text scripts sent by our cart software to your browser. If the browser accepts the cookie, our cart can work between our server and your computer to build a shopping cart and then allow you to submit an order. If your browser will not accept cookies, our cart has no way of communicating with your computer in the way necessary to submit an order.
In most browsers, accepting cookies is the default and you need not make any changes. If you find that you cannot add items to your cart (the cart tells you that your cart is empty even when you try to add an item), it probably means your browser has been configured to reject cookies. The first thing to try if you are running into this problem is to check your browser's configuration. In most cases this can be done by clicking on TOOLS at the top of your screen. then clicking the INTERNET OPTIONS or OPTIONS tab. The wording may differ from browser to browser. Here you should find the area in which you can enable cookies (choose to accept cookies from both first party and third party vendors). In Internet Explorer, you may have to dig a little deeper in the OPTIONS menu and go to PRIVACY and then click the ADVANCED tab, where you'll find the cookies options. If you are still having trouble enabling cookies, do a search on Google for 'how to enable cookies' and you'll find many up to date files that can guide you specifically through this process for your particular browser and browser version.
It may also help to temporarily disable any firewalls you may have on your computer as some of these can cause errors when you are working with a site that requires you to accept cookies. Another measure you might incorporate is to add 'lockpickersmall.com' to your list of trusted sites. This is done in various way depending, again, on which browser you are using.
Our site is not unique in the way it uses cookies to drive the shopping cart. This is a very common method and in fact most internet marketers have shopping carts that require cookies to be accepted. If you have this option turned off in your browser, your computer will not allow any information to be stored on it when you visit web sites and this drastically diminishes the value of internet browsing.
