QUIK PULL for Kwikset Knobs
Excellent design, easy to use. This is a tool
you need in your tool box! Designed to remove Kwikset cylinders by
force, yet the lock is not damaged and can be reused.
The Model A1-QP Quik Pull can save the day any time a Kwikset fails to
yield to picking attempts.
There are times when even a lowly Kwikset cylinder refuses
to pick. It can be due to tumbler damage, wear, and sometimes
just because the stars are out of alignment! Who knows.
The Quik Pull makes difficult jobs easy. The hardened
blade is milled like a Kwikset key, but is fashioned with a 90-degree upward
lip that results in the blade getting trapped by the bottom pins. Pulling
against this force transfers the energy to the entire lock cylinder, which
is anchored within the knob only by two spring steel tangs.
Use the Quik Pull when picking fails, as a backup to conventional picking.
CAUTION -- while QP tools are built tough, they cannot be expected to be unbreakable. Using any force tool includes the inherent risk of tool breakage, which normally occurs after hard or repeated use. The blades are expected to break fairly often and this is why extra blades are available. However, the threaded bolt portion of the tool bears a good deal of the force and may break as well. Please be aware that there is no warranty, expressed or implied, included with your purchase of a QP puller. A-1 does offer a Repair Kit for these pullers but we've found they are hard to get. We can special order a kit for you should you request it. Your cost will be in the range of $35 - $40, plus shipping.
