CPL-5 See-Thru Practice Locks
These completely transparent Practice Locks are made of durable acrylic plastic (the shell). The plug is a standard 5-pin lock plug with a Schlage keyway. Excellent for visual aids in training applications as well as for functional Practice Locks for lock picking practice.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the nature of acrylic plastic to form stress cracks where drilling and milling have been performed. The lock(s) you receive MAY have one or more of these small fractures. The functionality of the locks is not impaired or reduced in any way by these sometimes unavoidable features.
It is important to understand that these locks do not as accurately simulate the picking experience as do actual key-in-knob cylinders, which are used to create our Cut-Away and Standard Practice Locks. This is because the shell is made of plastic as opposed to being brass and the 'feel' will be much different. However, the actual picking technique required to defeat these locks is the same as that used in any other pin tumbler lock picking exercise.
